EDOM Annual Concert 2025

EDOM Technology's annual concert will be held on Friday, August 15th, performed by the Formosa Chamber Musicians. This year’s program centers on a Romantic Evening, showcasing the works of two Romantic-era composers whose music may not aim to impress with flashy techniques, but resonates deeply with heartfelt emotion.
Robert Schumann, a German composer, is one of the most important and representative composers of the Romantic era. The Piano Trio No. 2 in F major, Op. 80, is a warm and bright piece, charming and lively in style. It was also one of the favorite pieces of his wife, Clara Schumann.
Gabriel Fauré, a pivotal figure bridging 19th-century Romanticism and early 20th-century modernism in French music, came under the guidance of Saint-Saëns and influenced Ravel and Debussy. The Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 15 is one of Fauré’s early masterpieces with a revised finale after three years of rework. It quickly gained recognition as one of the most important and beloved French chamber works of the late 19th century.
