Where Wi-Fi 7 Gets Its Boost
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Skyworks Solutions took center stage with its latest innovations in Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) connectivity, highlighting how next-generation wireless technology will transform performance and reliability across consumer and enterprise applications. Skyworks’ latest Wi-Fi RF solutions raise the bar for next-generation connectivity by combining industry-leading filtering performance with highly efficient front-end design, addressing the growing demands placed on modern Wi-Fi routers and access points.
Maximizing Spectrum and Channel Utilization
The SKY85922-11 and SKY85923-11 are the only full-band filters to support simultaneous transmit and receive (STR) across both the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, enabling use of every available channel right up to the band edge with no signal loss. By incorporating UNI-1 through UNI-4, these filters unlock Channel 163, a high-power, non-DFS 160 MHz channel, and expand the total number of usable 160 MHz channels to three, giving next-generation routers greater flexibility to deliver higher throughput, lower latency, and more consistent performance in dense wireless environments.
Optimized RF Performance for Wi-Fi 7 Applications
Complementing these filters, Skyworks’ Gen 2 front-end modules (FEMs) enable Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems to achieve lower power consumption with operation down to 3.15 V, while supporting high output power up to 36 dBm EIRP for extended coverage and stronger whole-home connectivity. Nonlinear FEM options optimized for digital pre-distortion further improve range and throughput, making them well suited for high-performance tri-band and quad-band Wi-Fi 7 router designs. Broad compatibility with leading Wi-Fi SoCs and compact 3 × 3 mm and 3 × 5 mm form factors help simplify router system design across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.
