IT6115 - Next-Generation MIPI Converter
IT6115
Higher Bandwidth, Longer Reach, and Greater Flexibility for MIPI Designs

Product Introduction
A First Look at ITE’s New IT6115: A Next-Generation MIPI Converter Featuring Hyper Mode ConversionAs AR/VR, high-end mobile devices, smart displays, and next-generation imaging systems continue to evolve, MIPI interfaces must deliver more than basic signal transmission. System designers increasingly require higher bandwidth, longer transmission distances, and more flexible output configurations.
Designed to overcome layout constraints in next-generation MIPI systems, the IT6115 provides a flexible 1-port input to 2-port output architecture. Integrated signal-splitting and long-reach transmission capabilities help maintain reliable image-data delivery to display endpoints.
Three Core Advantages That Unlock High-End MIPI Applications
- Dual C-PHY / D-PHY Mode Support for Greater Design Flexibility
The IT6115 supports both C-PHY and D-PHY and can be configured to match the interface requirements of different SoCs and display panels:
• High bandwidth: D-PHY data rates up to 2.5 Gbps per lane and C-PHY data rates up to 5.7 Gbps per trio.
• Flexible configurations: Supports D-PHY 1-/2-/4-lane and C-PHY 1-/2-/3-trio configurations.
• Development benefits: Expands SoC-to-panel design flexibility and reduces the need for platform redesign - 1-to-2 Port Splitter for Dual-Display and AR/VR Applications
Multiple built-in splitting modes make the IT6115 well suited for applications that require synchronized display output. - Greater Layout Freedom with Signal Extension up to 100 cm
In drones, foldable devices, smart cockpits, and head-mounted equipment, longer cable paths can cause signal degradation. The IT6115 gives system designers greater freedom when placing the mainboard and display module:
• Core capability: Integrated high-performance MIPI C/D-PHY retimer.
• Transmission distance: Supports signal extension up to 100 cm (max.), enabling more flexible mainboard and display-module placement.
• Development benefits: Mitigates signal degradation caused by long FPC connections and helps maintain signal integrity in mechanically complex designs.
Three Key Target Applications
- High-end mobile display systems: Supports 5K high-resolution panels for tablets and mobile devices requiring high refresh rates or dual displays.
- AR/VR devices: Synchronized dual-display splitting and a compact 5 × 5 mm XQFN package address the space constraints of wearable devices.
- Smart imaging and camera systems: CSI/DSI protocol support enables flexible connections between edge-computing cameras and image signal processors (ISPs)
As ITE’s upcoming highly integrated MIPI solution, the IT6115 focuses on high-bandwidth image splitting and long-reach signal extension for AR/VR, AI PC, and smart-imaging applications. Contact the ITE and EDOM team to learn more about product previews and design-in support.
